Stance on Piracy

You guys should really take a stand on piracy.
Some users are uploading pirated DLsite videos on the site.

Iwara's unique in that it's one of the few western sites I know that actually has traction in Japan as well. I don't think it will stay that way if you allow people to upload that kind of content here.

Iwara's rules state uploads must be the user's own work, and the recent revised rules even gives procedures on how to report videos that aren't so they may be taken down because reporting videos was a bit more difficult before. That said, it's generally the responsibility of the copyright holder or creator of the content to request a video takedown on any file or video sharing site, including this one. As a third party, you don't have verifiable information regarding who has rights to post what, and neither do the moderators/admins of the site, so they need someone who actually can claim and show proof of ownership.

You can read the updates to the rules on this forum post and share your concerns here.

Hi TheUnknown.
The creators/admins do take a stand on piracy/copyrighted work.
One of the rules on this site is that any video you upload must be your own original work, they also mention in the rules that if you find anyone breaking the rules do not take it upon yourself to take action but instead inform them of the person breaking the rules and they will take the appropriate action. Hope that helps :)

We do not allow reposting of dlsite content, and they do send takedown requests for things they find. Feel free to report any that are found.

I ctrl+F'd report and couldn't find it at all.

You have to send admin a private message here or on discord. There's also a contact form: https://www.iwara.tv/contact
From my knowing, there's no "report"-button or such.

Oh... I think a report button would be very useful then.

Havta think thats a bad idea. I really enjoy many vids made with non-nude models shared with the caveat that they were not to be modified without express permissions from the model's makers modified to be nude.

Every Kianxi and every Kawaiistrike model modified for nudity would have to be removed just to start. The original artist's wishes were made clear on the model's share page. I find it unreasonable to "give" something and then say what can be done with it. Once the cats out of the bag, all you can do is drop the issue or look idiotic chasing a cat around. Common sense. I agree with the artists who modded them anyway. Good on them.

The final result of such a mandate taken to it's extreme would be the closing of the world's libraries. Remember Greece? Great library? They didn't allow the peasants access and the greatest library was burned to the ground. These laws deny the poor text books and other important data. It is unwise to piss them all off. History is clear.

Artists even have an answer to their needs as one shouldn't just bitch without giving alternatives. Give art for free because thats what art is for. Than sell t-shirts, higher res. copies, toys, one-of-a-kind signed items, speaking engagements, etc. People love to show their oneness with art and fashion and its all about name recognition. Build a name on freely given art and than sell the name on anything. Whore out the swag, not the art.

Those who don't agree should be paying for their copies of mikumikudance as its hypocrytical to use freesource to make something and then bitch about how it's stealing to copy what is shared from it. these people should make their own profit-based program and only watch vids made from same.

Long ago the sage asked the master "How can I advance my kung fu beyond what we learn here?

Master: "You must go out to meet and spar with those of other disciplines and steal the art."

Sage: "But isn't stealing wrong?"

Master: Our language is limited. This stealing is not stealing as it has no victim. It is not truly stealing unless the other experiences loss. When you steal the art from another they still have it and so, in this way, you have stolen nothing."

The same can be applied to all data and knowledge and should be.

All artists steal for all artists stand on the shoulders of artists before them. It the only way to mastery.

Steal the art. I will. Fk copyrights. Enjoying the site as is.

Thnx.
