Any guide/tutorial on how to swap clothes between models?

Does anyone know if there are any tutorials how to do this? or does anyone know how to themselves?
No, I don't mean adding clothes to a model. What I mean is;
You have one fully made model with bones, hair, joints, physics, clothes and rigid bodies. This is model A. You see the shirt or coat on model A looks really nice!
You want to take the coat off of model A and put it on another fully made model, or model B.

You delete the unnecessary bones and materials from model A until you have only the coat you want with it's bones. You put import model B and the coat from model A into PMX or Blender and resize the coat to fit model B. Great, nice easy!

Nope. You load model B with her fancy new coat into MMD and when she moves the coat completely bugs out, like it wants to be anywhere but on model B. Oh, and for some fuck ass reason model B's fingers grow to about 30cm each. Great. Wtf just happened?

Anyone have a tutorial for how to do this right? Can be japanese or english, I don't care I've been trying to do this for 3 days in blender AND pmx editor and made absolutely no progress.
Because pmx editor makes the model glitchy, and in blender when you add more than 1 model the option to export to a .pmx file blacks out and you can't do it anymore, plus blender kinda fucks over boob and butt physics so they don't jiggle anymore after export.

It seems to me that it is easier to do a "head swap" between the 2 models.
1: the model with clothes, you delete the head and everything related to the head and save the model with another name.
2: to the model without clothes, you delete the whole body and everything related to it, except the head and save the model with another name.
3: open the headless model from point 1 and import the head model.
4: make a lot of minor adjustments and voila

Gonna try explaining this off of memory so sorry in advance if it's not exactly correct.

First go to your main model(the one you'd like to put the new piece of clothing on) and delete any existing clothing that may interfere with the new one, make sure you delete the materials of that article, the rigid bodies, joints and bones. Save it as a new model so you don't fuck up the original one.

Next go to the model with the article of clothing that you'd like to snatch, delete everything BUT the article, delete every bone that isn't connected to it, every rigid body, material and joint. If it's just a shirt or pants you just have to delete everything but the material and it should work but if it's something like a skirt or coat with physics then you have to make sure the rigid bodies, bones and joints of the coat/skirt are not deleted. Save your article as a separate PMX model.

Finally go to your main body and import the clothing, on the import menu make sure to tick Add and Merge Bones or something like that, lastly position your new clothing properly on your character, if it has physics you might have to move its bones, rigid bodies and joints a bit to make sure it's in place, also take a look at the rigid bodies collision groups and make sure it doesn't collide with anything that it shouldn't. You might have to edit the vertices a bit to fit the clothing properly.

And with that you have a fully clothed character!
