How to un-weight vertices when weighting bones?

So currently in PmxEditor I am weighting some bones using the circular painting tool.

However, I need to paint one side of the body but the vertices on the other side of the model get painted as well.

Is there a shortcut to "unpaint" vertices? Or even a way to unpaint vertices?

You can press Ctrl-R while some vertices are selected to hide them. This makes it easy to make sure you're only editing the weights of vertices you care about. Just weed out all the vertices you don't want to edit by removing them.

I also learned from this comment (http://ecchi.iwara.tv/comment/335262#comment-335262) that you can also use Ctrl-K to do the opposite and hide all vertices except for the ones you have selected. There's a lot of good info in that thread that you probably won't get anywhere else. The closest we have to a manual is learnmmd.com, but that's certainly not always up-to-date or easy to find stuff on.

Thanks very much. I was looking at learnmmd's tutorials and ones on youtube, but nobody goes further than "paint the vertices you want" and simply orient the camera so it does not overlap other vertices.

There's also the "表頂" button, which basically only edits what's in front, but I suggest not doing that for complex stuff because chances are that there will be some vertices occupying the exact same space as another but they can't merge because they have different UV coordinates. I see that most often around the inner thigh areas on models.
