What is the degree of quality vs. time trade off for selecting to render with a single cpu core vs. multiple cores. I realize quality is subjective, but what is really gained by doing this, and at what cost? Why I ask is that I usually select my original output from MMD with Utvideo YUV and usually select the logical processor option which uses multiple core option. I later do a post render with NCH videopad which I suspect is using a single core though I'm not sure about that. I'm not sure what degree of quality I may be losing from choosing to use multiple cores with Utvideo YUV. Is it something negligible like a 1% visual improvement for 4x longer render? Or is it much more obvious than that?

There is not any substantial gain from using only a single core. There is a chance some frames might appear slightly different, but should not be noticeable without staring at still frames.

@Tray Mendis
The time it takes to encode and the time it takes to appear for viewing are not the same thing. Encoding (if needed) is done fairly quickly. Maybe we can have the process improved later on.

Never heard of this "Handbrake" program before now. I may make use of it, if I so choose to upload videos to Iwara, though.
