Effect not showing after I load a stage in MMD

Started playing around with effects recently and I ran into a problem I am not sure how to fix.
Was using the BRSEyeflame effect on a model, it worked fine.
I added a motion and played it a bit to see how it looks when moving around and it worked fine.
Then I loaded my stage and it disappeared. It was still loaded but now I couldn't see it at all.
I deleted the stage it came back, so I thought it must be that stage, but then i loaded another stage and it disappeared again.

It seems to be the skybox that makes it disappear because when i turn off the sky parts of the stage it shows again. I don't really want to use it this way because then I am missing a big chunk of the stage.
Does anyone know how I can fix this without gutting the stage?

if the stage is in .x files , go to menu > [B]ackground > [A]ccessories edit
change the drawing order between the eye flame and stage until you can see the effect
normally stage loaded before other accessories
try put the stage on top and the eye flame at bottom of the list

Thanks that was the answer I needed. I completely forgot about draw order.
The stage was a .pmx file so I just had to split it apart into .x files and that did the trick.
It's now 12 separate parts but that's better than having an incomplete stage.
